Theresa Anton joined the Hannah Kahn Dance Company in 2005. She grew up in the Washington D.C. area training at the Potomac Ballet. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography and Performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the College – Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. As co-owner of a multimedia design company, Cloudburst Design Studio, Theresa specializes in theatrical lighting for dance, graphic design, and photography. Theresa has also enjoyed dancing with Interweave Dance Theater, 3rd Law Dance Theatre, Evolving Doors Dance Project and is currently part time staff at the University of Colorado's Theater and Dance Department. |

Jennifer Fagan Archer, a Florida native, has been dancing since she could walk. Her diverse training has included studies with many dance professionals including Gary Lund, Augusto Soledade, Anjali Austin, Ramazon Bapov, Gerri Houlihan, Leslie Neal, Mary Wohl-Haan and Christina Noel-Adcock. She has been commissioned in the US and abroad to teach and choreograph for stage and film and has performed with Moving in the Spirit, Georgia Dance Theatre, Concepts in Motion, Troupe Binti and her very own Ascential Dance Collective. She has enjoyed the privilege of performing Donald McKayle’s Rainbow Etude for the 2002 National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta and for Delray Beach’s First Night 2006 in Liz Lerman’s Bobcat Ballet. While studying dance, music and theatre at Florida State University, she earned a BS in Anthropology and History and an AA in Nutrition and Fitness. Her passion is teaching dance to beginners and the under-served. |

Jessica Garcia
began her dance training at age three in southern New Mexico. She continued her dance training in Modern, Ballet, and Flamenco at New Mexico State University where she earned her B.A. in Dance in 2005. She has danced with Debra Knapp, Lucilene de Geus, Paco Antonio, Bill Evans and Friends, Sol y Arena and Evolving Doors Dance Project. In addition to dance, Jessica enjoys teaching and is currently working on her certification of massage therapy at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Jessica joined the Hannah Kahn Dance Company in July 2007. |

Jessica Hastings graduated with her BFA in Theatre and Dance and BA in Spanish from the University of Wyoming in 2002. While there she worked with Bill Evans, performing at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She began in modern dance working in numerous productions with Kevin Iega Jeff and Gary Abbott of Deeply Rooted Productions. She teaches for area arts organizations while dancing with Hannah Kahn Dance Company, Moraporvida Contemporary Dance, Ascential Dance Theatre, and the Funkinetic Project. |

Lara Hayes-Giles returned to Denver after ten years of dancing in New York. Lara received her BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. While in New York, Lara performed with many choreographers & companies including Ann Carlson, Yasmeen Godder, Faye Driscoll, JoAnna Mendel Shaw, Gus Solomons Jr., Treehouse Shakers, Mudpuppy and Doug Varone. She was a founding member of an educational dance company and also choreographed for productions at The 13th Street Theater and The Producers Club. Besides being a member of the Hannah Kahn Dance Company, Lara has enjoyed dancing with Speaking of Dance, 3rd Law Dance/Theater and Morapovida Contemporary Dance. |

Jennifer Hightower grew up in Fort Collins, CO, where she began her dance training at the at the Mountain Dance Center. She went on to study at the Canyon Concert Ballet school, the American Dance Festival, Bates College Dance Festival, Oberlin Dance Festival, and the Glenwood Springs Dance Festival. In 2004, she graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Colorado, Boulder. While attending school, she worked with David Capps, Toby Hankin, Nada Diachenko, Michelle Ellsworth, Onye Ozuzu, as well as Gabe Masson and Shelly Senter. She also had the opportunity to travel to Albuquerque, NM and Bellingham, WA to perform at the American College Dance Festivals. Jen went on to choreograph and perform for the Boulder International Fringe Festival and "Separation Anxiety" with Boulder/ Denver dancers and artists. After graduation, she moved to Seattle and studied at the Velocity Dance Center, danced and performed with Andre Bouchard and Walrus Performance Productions, Contact Improvisation artist Alia Swersky for the Northwest New Works Festival, and Juliet Waller-Pruzan. Jen moved back to Colorado in 2007 and joined the Hannah Kahn Dance Company. She also dances with the Evolving Doors Dance Project and Ascential Dance Theatre. |

Gina Jacobs Thomas moved to Denver from New York City in 2006. While in New York, she spent six years making dances with MOB Productions, directed by Mollie O’Brien. She has performed the works of Tere O’Connor, CompanyAmyCox, Jennifer Allen, Drastic Action/Aviva Geismar, and Laura Staton, among others. In addition to performing with Hannah Kahn, she also dances with 3rd Law Dance/Theatre in Boulder. Gina received her MFA in Dance from the Ohio State University and her BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin. |

Lauren Kanive, native to Denver, began dancing at age six. She received her B.A. in Dance from the University of Northern Colorado where she danced leading roles in productions including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Carmina Burana. She has enjoyed advanced instruction from David Howard, Gelsey Kirkland, Paul Taylor and Hannah Kahn. Lauren joined the Hannah Kahn Dance Company in 2002. Lauren would like to thank her friends and family for their love and support. |

Melanie Meenan received her BFA in Dance and BA in Journalism at the University of Wyoming. She completed her MA in Dance Performance at Laban (in London), while also performing and teaching dance workshops throughout the United Kingdom and in Amsterdam with Transitions Dance Company. She teaches dance at Younger Generation Players in Englewood, Colorado and at En Avant Dance Studio in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Melanie joined the Company in 2007. |

Jacob James Mora was born and raised in the Mile High City, Denver. Jacob received a BFA from the University of Northern Colorado. He has danced for Alaska Dance Theatre, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, David Taylor Dance Theatre, Toronto based Mohawk choreographer Santee Smith Group, and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre. Jacob has had the pleasure of working with master choreographers Donald McKayle, Milton Myers, Betty Jones, Bill T. Jones and Eleo Pomare among others. Jacob teaches and choreographs using a unique blend of contemporary techniques and ideas that fuse modern, jazz, hip hop, poetry and ethnic dance. He is currently director of the dance project MORAPORVIDA, a company based on urban experiences and human emotions. |

Kristi Peterson a Colorado native, started dancing at the age of four. She participated in the first Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Vail, received a scholarship to the School of American Ballet Summer Program, and later, she apprenticed with Colorado Ballet and David Taylor Dance Theatre. Kristi teaches ballet at the Academy of Theatre Arts. Kristi bagan dancing with The Hannah Kahn Dance Company in 2004. She also dances with Moraporvida, the Denver Independent Choreographers Project, Evolving Doors Dance Project and Ascential Dance Theatre. |

Michael Richman is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. Michael studied dance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has previously performed with Ruth Davidson-Hahn and Company, Kim Robards Dance, Oracle Winterguard, Fragments of Divine, The Rob Billings Performance Ensemble, David Taylor Dance Theatre, and Dance Consort with Carol Mezza Cappa. Michael joined the company in 2005. In addition, Michael currently teaches and choreographs for The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps colorguard, dances with 3rd Law Dance Theatre as well as working toward the completion of his BFA at the University of Colorado in Boulder. |

Ben Schultz from Denver Colorado, attended Indiana University. Training under Violette Verdy, Ben performed in The Nutcracker, Guys and Dolls and Don Quixote. Since leaving Indiana, Ben has performed and toured with the Tony Award winning show Blast as well as performed and toured with the Cleo Parker Dance Ensemble. Ben serves as a resident choreographer for the Arvada Center as well as teaching Modern, Jazz and Ballet techniques to both beginning and advanced students. In 2007 Ben joined The Hannah Kahn Dance Company. |

Craig Bushman (lighting designer and stage manager) has been designing lights for dance since 1992. He is the technical director of the Dairy Center for the Arts. He was production manager of the Colorado Dance Festival and Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp in Steamboat Springs. He has also been part of the production staff of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and technical director for Doug Varone and Dancers. He has helped Hannah with more than twenty shows in Denver. |

Chadzilla began playing drums at age 7. He was exposed to many musical opportunities including jazz band, music theory, marching band, piano, orchestra and jazz combo. After high school he attended UNC as a music major where he studied drum set with Mike Packer. After collegel he performed with Brother Michael Johnson at the University of Miami and with Ron Miles and Mark Foster at Metro State College of Denver, studying jazz and percussion respectively.
Chadzilla is currently a pivotal member of Double Parked, Cordova (Meters tribute), Polytoxic, the Mike Berg Band, the Joey Porter Quartet and Bullmary. He also leads his own band the Chadzilla3, that features some of Denver’s hottest talent to showcase his original music and jazz based influences.
Chadzilla is the co founder of Istari, with fellow master percussionist Ed Contreras. Together they perform and educate audiences of all ages about world percussion and its influence on American music. He has been teaching music privately in the Denver area since 1992 and is a member of the teaching staff at Swallow Hill Music Association where in 2007 he started the “House of Rock”, ensemble classes bringing musicians of all ages together with an emphasis on performance. He has directed percussion ensembles at Hinkley High School and taught privately in Aurora at Calliope Music Studios.
Having Monster Island, a full rehearsal/recording studio is also a great teaching aid that assists students in intricate development and improvisational band situations.
