July 14th, 2011 at the Arvada Center for the Arts, the Hannah Kahn Dance Company will team up with Ballet Ariel for an “Evening of Dance”.

The Hannah Kahn Dance Company will open the program with three dances: Calling (1997), Linked Up (2011), & a premiere – Mixtures and Solutions. The dancers are sinking their teeth into the material and our full company will be on display. Our dancers are Theresa Anton, Tiffany Erickson, Lara Hayes-Giles, Jen Hightower, Marisa Hollingsworth, Gina Jacobs Thomas, Joe Jensen, Jacob Mora, Brittany Roney, Tiffany Stone, and Lori Wyatt.

In Avoca – A Tale of Molly Brown, Ballet Ariel brings to life the story of Colorado heroine Margaret ‘Molly’ Brown. The ballet will be danced to a wonderful score of turn of the century music performed live by Gossamer Winds, an Augustana Arts performing group. The ballet features traditional music alongside music by George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, & Edward MacDowell. Choreography for the ballet is by Ilena Norton, & the score is compiled by John Richardson & Ilena Norton.
If you haven’t seen this beautiful outdoor amphitheater, you are in for a treat. It is really a gem. And if you have not seen Ballet Ariel, this is a great opportunity – two dance companies for the price of one.
