Marisa Hollingsworth

Marisa Hollingsworth joins Hannah Kahn after dancing four and a half years with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company, where she served as both performer and assistant rehearsal director. While at Cleo’s, Marisa was featured in several pieces including the lead role of Granny in Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, as well as the company’s signature piece, Raindance. Prior to this she spent five years with Ballethnic Dance Company in Atlanta. She has worked closely with several well-known choreographers, including Milton Myers, Donald McKayle & Christopher Huggins. Beginning her training in her home-town of Detroit, she later graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in History. Summers were spent in New York City at Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Summer Intensive Dance Program.
